Pinteresting -- Whats on my Pinterest Boards

I have a confession......................I LOVE Pinterest!!  I'm sure I'm not alone in that confession!

I have another confession..............I pin daily, multiple times a day, but never seem to go back and look at what I've pinned!!

So, I'm starting a new feature on my blog titled "Pinteresting" where I actually go back and look at my pins and choose one pin at a time to review, try, or just share with my readers.  I don't have a real set day that I'll be doing this, I'll just be doing it! Hahaha

I have 70 Boards on Pinterest with over 6,700 pins!!  My boards range from recipies, to interesting finds, to places I've been, to household decor and more.

Today, let's take a look at my "Beauty Tips" Board

Specifically, let's take a look at this pin originally fron Beauty Bets.  This is Henna Lipstick.  It's a color changing lipstick that brings out the natural color of your lips.

As someone who doesn't like flashy lipsticks, I was intrigued by the ability to bring out the natural color of my lips without being flashy.  I did a little searching and was able to find this lipstick at Sephora.com.  The one I purchased is by Givenchy and you can find it here

Overall, I am in love and would highly recommend this product!

Their Eyes Were Watching God

Their Eyes Were Watching God

Every once in awhile I step out of my normal reading genres and find a book worth sharing.

Their Eyes Were Watching God is just such a book.  When I first stared reading it I though.....Oh good lord I'll never get through this, however I'm VERY pleased to say I got through it and what a joy it was!!

We first meet Janie Crawford, a black women in her 40's, when she returns to Eatonville, Florida in the mid 1930's.  She has returned after leaving town with a much younger man and all her neighbors are speculating on why she has returned WITHOUT the younger man.

As the book progresses, we hear from Janie herself the accounts of her life, starting at the time of her childhood living on a plantation with her Grandmother, up to her return to Eatonville.

This is a very enduring love story, with a few twist on the "Happily Ever After" part.

I will admit the dialect takes some getting used to, but after a chapter or two it flows easily.

If your like me.........a home-body at heart, then you'll probably be doing alot of your holiday shopping online.

Recently I was told about CSNStores.com, which is an online retailer with over 200 stores to shop at.  I can find anything from furniture, like a counter stool to tools to shoes to baby gear.  In one sitting I can find something for everyone on my holiday shopping list!!

I have been given the opportunity to review an item of my choosing from any one of the CSNStore.com shops.  I have my eye on a few of the kitchen appliances. Although I'm in love with this super cute picture frame!  Oh, there is sooo much to choose from!!!  What's a girl to do!!??

Stay tuned to see what I ultimately choose to review!!!!  In the mean time go check CSNStores out!!

The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon

Not your average time travel series!
I fell in love with this series during book two...."Dragonfly in Amber"
Diana Gabaldon, who I had the pleasure of meeting during her last book tour for "An Echo in the Bone" (book 7 in the series), has a talent for writing not seen very often. In the course of one paragraph she can make you laugh, cry and laugh again! Her characters are so true to life..and their time, that you become Claire.
I will be honest, these books tend to be heavy in detail, which if your like me I skip over the every detail of a wildflower in bloom, but everything else is SUPERB!!! This series is a must for any reader on your holiday shopping list, man or women!!
The series order:
Book 1 "Outlander"
Book 2 "Dragonfly in Amber"
Book 3 "Voyager"
Book 4 "Drums of Autumn"
Book 5 "The Fiery Cross"
Book 6 "A Breath of Snow and Ashes"
Book 7 "An Echo in the Bone"

"The Autobiography of Henry VIII" by Margaret George

I thought it fitting that for my first book /product review I would choose a book reminisent of my "royal" theme blog......."The Autobiography of Henry VIII" by Margaret George.
What an amazing book! Do not let the size of this book overwhelm you....it is 939 pages of pure enjoyment.
Going into this book, I knew very little about the Tudor Dynasty and Henry VIII, other than he had 6 wives, two of whom he beheaded, and that he seemed a pretty insane individual. "The Autobiography of Henry VIII" shed light on the human side of Henry Tudor, a man born a second son and bound for priesthood, who at the age of 16 suddenly finds himself The King of England. This book will make you weep for the boy who lives in the shadows, and for the young man suddenly in the spot light upon his father's death. And yes, you will find the man he grows to be both engaging and disgusting...........in both mind and body.
"The Autobiography of Henry VIII" is a MUST READ!!
